One of the most well-known spiders in Oklahoma. Light brown with a violin-shaped marking on the back. Commonly found in attics, closets, storage boxes, and undisturbed areas.

Glossy black spider with a red hourglass marking underneath the abdomen. Often found in sheds, wood piles, garages, and outdoor storage areas.

The yellow garden spider, sometimes called the black and yellow garden spider or writing spider, is one of the most recognizable spiders in Oklahoma. These large orb-weaving spiders are commonly found in gardens, tall grass, flower beds, and around homes during late summer and fall.
